XYZ Davinci 3D Printer Review

XYZ Davinci 3D Printer Review

By Timothy Coyle

3d printer

I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a 3D printer. I wanted to get something that was on the cheaper side but still had enough features that it wouldn't be a total throw away and found the Da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer from XYZprinting. This really had the right mix of features I was looking for: it was only $500 dollars, can print both ABS and PLA plastic materials, fairly large build area of almost 8x8x8 in., heated build plate, and was an enclosed unit as a bonus.

The quality of the printed keychain was much better than I expected.

I've only done a test print of a supplied design in the unit of an XYZ keychain but so far I am really impressed not only with this printer but with 3D printers in general. I'm starting to see what all the hype is about.

Below I have a photo walk through of the printer setup, print process, and final results for my quick review here so far.

Overall I'm impressed with the results so far even on a sample print.
