Defining the IBIS Process Corners

The IBIS specification supports three different process corners depending on the technology.

CMOS Process Corners

The IBIS specification supports three different process corners: typical, minimum, and maximum. For a standard CMOS design the following definitions apply for the process corners:

The MIN process corner is sometimes called the ‘weak’ or ‘slow’ corner and the MAX process corner is sometimes called the ‘strong’ or ‘fast’ corner.
